Lotta Viitaniemi Collection

Graphical Designer, author, and food blogger Lotta Viitaniemi has died in an accident on the 31st of December 2020 in Helsinki. She was 39 years old. 

Lotta Viitaniemi was one of the founders of Biohacker Center. Lotta was responsible for all visual communication, book layouts, marketing design, online course design, information visualization, and artistic works.

Lotta was best known as one of the co-authors of the Biohacker's Handbook. The book series and related productions such as online courses and events have affected hundreds of thousands of people all around the world interested in optimal health and performance.

Lotta has always been modest about her achievements and didn't want to highlight her name on the cover of our books. But rightfully, we want to tell you that she was absolutely an essential part in the production and vision of the book series.

Biohacker's Handbook readers have commented especially on the visual look and feel of the book series. The hundreds of original illustrations made by Lotta Viitaniemi were able to clearly depict even the most complex human anatomical details, facts, and figures in the most visually appealing and self-explanatory way.

Lotta's friends and colleagues remember her as a person who was always warm, calm, and professional in everything she decided to do. She had an exceptional visual eye and strong trust in her own vision. She always took care of her colleagues, friends, and family. She was especially fond of lunches, parties, trips, and travels together. She often took leadership in organizing all recreational activities.

People remember her as an avid traveler and as an incredible chef. Always surrounded by bunnies, she had a sweet spot for cute animals. Lotta was loved and close to all people who ever touched her path on a regular basis. She left her creativity in many people's lives.

In the year 2020 many people around her noticed that she lived the best time of her life despite what was going on in the world. She was at the top of her career. She was prospering from the inside and outside. She had clearly achieved to be the best version of herself. She was clearly happy and content. This is how we always will remember her.

Lotta is left with her mother, two brothers and their families, sister, other relatives, Frans bunny, numerous friends, and the "Biohacker family", as Lotta liked to call her colleagues that truly became a family.
